James M. Richards, Jr, President & Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Richards has over 31 years’ experience in the trucking industry and serves as the Company’s President & CEO. He has held various positions during his tenure at KLLM. Prior to becoming President & CEO, he served as KLLM’s Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Richards is also very active in numerous industry organizations.
Mr. Richards holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration and Marketing from the University of Southern Mississippi.
Terry Thornton, Chief Financial Officer
Terry Thornton joined KLLM in 2011 as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining KLLM, he served three years as Vice President of Finance for Windward Petroleum, a distributor of lubricants for the petroleum industry. Prior to Windward, he served seven years as Chief Financial Officer for Total Transportation of Mississippi. Prior to Total Transportation of Mississippi, he served two years as Chief Financial Officer for Business Communications, Inc. Previously he held various positions during his twelve years at Shearer, Taylor & Co., a public accounting firm. Mr. Thornton also serves on the Board of Trustees of Hartfield Academy.
Terry holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in public accounting from the University of Southern Mississippi. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
Greg Carpenter, Vice President of Operations
Mr. Carpenter has over 30 years in the trucking industry and serves as Vice President of Operations. Prior to becoming Vice President, he served as Director of Customer Service.
Mr. Carpenter holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Mississippi College.
Milton Tallant, Jr., Vice President – Leasing Equipment Solutions
Mr. Tallant has 30 years of experience in the trucking industry, holding various positions in both Operations and Sales and Marketing. Mr. Tallant is currently responsible for the Company’s relationship with Top-5 customer accounts, Sales & Operations of Trailer Rental and Fuel Purchasing.
Mr. Tallant holds a B.S. degree in Banking and Finance from Mississippi State University.
Kirk Blankenship, Vice President of Driver Resources
Mr. Blankenship has over 35 years in the transportation industry, the last 30 with KLLM. He has held numerous positions while at KLLM and is currently responsible for the Company’s Driver Academy’s, Recruiting and Student Support.
Mr. Blankenship attended Pearl River Community College and the University of Southern Mississippi.
Wilson Risinger, Vice President of Safety and Risk Management
Mr. Risinger has over 30 years of experience in the trucking Industry and serves as KLLM’s Vice President of Safety and Risk Management. Mr. Risinger has also served as Director of Safety and Director of Terminal and Regional Operations.
Mr. Risinger holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a Major in Banking and Finance from the University of Southern Mississippi.
Traci Bilbo, Vice President of Human Resources
Mrs. Bilbo has been in the trucking industry since 2002, with 9 of those years at KLLM Transport Services and FFE Transportation, serving in a variety of positions. Mrs. Bilbo currently serves as the Vice President of Human Resources. Prior to KLLM, Mrs. Bilbo was a CDL School Director in both Dallas, TX and Salt Lake City, Utah, and spent 10 years with Qwest Communications, specializing in the management of network operations.
Andy Morris, Vice President of Management Information Systems
Mr. Morris has been responsible for KLLM’s MIS department since 2010. Prior to that, he spent four years with Swift Transportation as a consultant and IT Project Manager. Previously, Mr. Morris was with KLLM as a Senior Programmer Analyst for over seven years.
Mr. Morris has an Associate Degree in Computer Science from Southeast College of Technology.
Joyce Grubbs, Controller
Ms. Grubbs has 35+ years of experience in Accounting with 19 of those at KLLM, where she currently serves as Controller. Prior to that, Ms. Grubbs worked in the poultry industry for 18 years as a Cost Accounting Manager and Production Analyst.
Ms. Grubbs holds a B.S. degree in Accounting from Belhaven University.
Chris Wood, Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Mr. Wood has been with KLLM since 1994, having served as an Assistant Controller and Director of Pricing. In December 2013, Mr. Wood was promoted to Vice President of Sales. Mr. Wood holds a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from Mississippi College. He is also a former Certified Public Accountant.
Brenda Beard, Vice President of Independent Contractor Relations
Ms. Beard has been in the trucking industry for over 29 years with 21 of those at KLLM serving in a variety of positions including Terminal Manager and Director of Contract Operations. Ms. Beard currently serves as the Vice President of Independent Contractor Relations overseeing our Lease Purchase Program and Independent Contractors. Prior to KLLM, Ms. Beard was with Texas Star Express as the Director of Human Resources and Driver Recruiting.
Mike Bromhall, Vice President of Maintenance
Mr. Bromhall has 17 years’ service with KLLM Transport Services and FFE Transportation, managing the company’s Truck and Trailer fleet. Prior to joining KLLM, Mr. Bromhall worked for 21 years Managing Central Freight Lines fleet in Waco, Texas.
Cassie Icamina, Vice President of Logistics
Mrs. Icamina has over 22 years of experience in the Transportation and Logistics industry with 7 of those years at KLLM Transport Services. Mrs. Icamina currently serves as the Vice President of Logistics. Prior to becoming Vice President, she served as the Director of Logistics.
Mrs. Icamina holds a B.A. Degree in Marketing from Southeastern Louisiana University.
