Business began as KLM, Inc. in 1963, under the ownership of Tom I. Kobuke, W.J. Liles, B.C. Lee, and Henry Moudy, Sr. On January 1, 1986, the name “KLLM Transport Services, Inc.” was adopted and recorded as the official title of the corporation, thereby utilizing the first initial of the last name of each of the original founders. KLLM Transport Services, LLC. (“KLLM”) was originally a truck brokerage whose primary business was handling exempt commodities, with main traffic arteries across the southern United States. As early as 1972, KLLM began hauling regulated commodities and received General Authority from the Interstate Commerce Commission in July, 1982.

At present, KLLM Transport Services, LLC, specializes in providing high-quality transportation services in North America. KLLM hauls both temperature-controlled and dry commodities such as food, medical supplies, paper products, chemicals and cosmetics. Services include over-the-road (OTR) long haul, regional transportation, dedicated, intermodal and logistics. KLLM’s corporate offices are in Jackson, Mississippi.

KLLM began its own fleet of equipment in 1967 with the purchase of three (3) tractor-trailer combinations. Today, KLLM offers OTR, Regional and Dedicated services to a major portion of 48 states and Mexico on a daily basis. KLLM’s entire fleet of trailers is refrigerated, serving the needs of both dry freight customers and those requiring temperature controlled services.
